If restraints are necessary in any manner under such conditions, they should be the least restrictive type possible to remain consistent with sound security practices.
So the warden can still order restraints.

Please dear god..... let them consider priority date instead of the notice date. Mine is Oct 15th 2007. Our priority dates were current for three times and our application never touched, all our friends March 2006 to Jun 2006 filers got their cards a couple of years ago....:rolleyes:

Plainspeak...no one here knows everything abt immigration. so its ok that u lost this argument. we are here to share out experiences, enlighten each other, and work for easing EB backlogs. The fact that theres no one in entire IV that supports ur argument should put some sense into you abt this issue.

All I said was not to mix all the issues into one and sell it. We all know what happened with CIR.
You are mixing stuff here. The question he/she is asking is why should the small step be your step, considering that 2 yr validity or 5 yr validity does not make too much of a difference (except maybe to CIS income and your wallet) . If the focus is going to be on 485 let it be inclusive of everything relevant to that stage.

I remember you came forward to donate 50$. I thought of a couple of ways to do it. Can you do that through signing up for a 50$ recurring contribution and stop that the follwoing month or you can find a partner to donate the other 50$. We need funds as well to reach our goals
In my opinion keeping donation options from $25/- upwards to whatever max value within One time and recurring categories would be inclusive startegy.
Currently we are turning away the members who want to donate but who can not afford and/or do not want to donate $ 100/- and upwards.
My personal theory is that who is really willing to donate $ 100/- and upwards and can afford is going to donate that handsome amount even if we keep $ 25/- option.
Now Ball is in court of core.

Thanks a lot to all members for being with us in this struggle. We have tasted our first big success this year. Credit goes to each and every IV member. We were all affected by the visa bulletin fiasco and this is our victory. This is a victory for all our members and we must rejoice.
IV had worked very hard and had been pushing for this in the background. Our flower campaign, rally and other advocacy efforts all came together and helped us at a crunch time. We thank members that sent flowers and also walked in the San Jose heat for 4 hours. All that really shows our commitment to this cause.
We are happy that our efforts are successful and IV has been able to make a difference. Please also know that during this effort, IV was extremely active and decision makers heard our voice. We cannot give out all the details but what IV members should know is that these efforts should make each one of us proud and what we can do if we have a firm resolve. We were also the first to break this news even before anyone else or media could, and continued to update our members as time passed.
IV also thanks its contributing members and it is because of their contributions we were able to continue this effort. Many thanks to the members that are contributing now after this good news.
Please continue your support for this organization and be an integral member of this ever growing community, so that this journey can continue and we can end retrogression and have immigrationvoice as our voice.

I have a similar problem. In all my documents i just have one name as given name from childhood no surname or initials.
In passport given name is : XXX
And surname is : blank
In my H4 stamping they made it
Given name : FNU (First name unknow)
Last Name : XXX
So in my medical record and I-94, I-797 in US i use FNU XXX. I am planning to apply with this name itself as i feel it may take a while and is not safe to go to indain embassy and have a name change with this short time.
I plan to have my husbands name as my last name later.
Can i do it after filing for 485 or getting GC. Do reply.

Hey EndlessWait, thanks for your input and assurance. Thats what my lawyer said but he also mentioned it depends on the adjudicating officer and to keep my fingers crossed.

It will take 10 years to see the light (GC) at the end of the tunnel, IV can help you get there faster. How faster you get there depends on your contribution?
