Shahid Afridi Biography

Shahid Afridi: Full name of Shaid Khan Afridi is "Sahibzada Mohammad Shahid Khan Afridi. He is born in 1 March 1980 in Khyber Agency He is now playing for National cricket team of Pakistan in the international cricket. He made his fastest debut on 2 October 1996 against Kenya in Nairobi and his debut on 22 October 1998 against Australia on Home-ground Karachi. He is famous due to his aggressive batting, and he had highest career strike rate in the history of International Cricket. His general style of batting is very  aggressive and therefore he got a title and nickname of "Boom Boom Afridi" for his fastest One Day international century just in just 37 balls the highest score in just 37 balls in the History of cricket. His strike rate in test cricket is 86.13. He got 5000 ODI runs at an average blew 25. He has stock ball is the leg break, but his armory also includes the conventional off break and quicker one which would be delivered at nearly 80 miles per hour which is style of medium  pacer, His speed of spin bowling is highest of spinner.
In the age of 16 Years he come into ODI team as a leg-spinner bowler in the place of Mushtaq Ahmed. Then he gained popularity as hard hitter batsman and starts batting with Saeed Anwar Opening Batsman.

In 2007 World Twenty Twenty he performed brilliantly with ball but could not get more scores by his batting. He got man of the series.

In October 1996, playing his maiden international innings Afridi hit the fastest One-Day century off 37 balls against Sri Lanka in Nairobi. His innings included 28 runs off one of Sanath Jayasuriya’s overs, whose record he broke.

He was youngest player in history to make an ODI century at just 16 years and 217 days with his 37 ball ton against Sri-Lanka. It included 11 sixes and 6 fours.

He also made a Half-Century from 26 balls and took 3 second-innings wickets in Pakistan’s series-drawing Test victory against India in March 2005.

Shahid Afridi (Boom Boom Afridi)  is only third player in ODI history to achieve the combination of 5000 runs and 200 wickets. The other players being Sri-Lankan batsman Sanath Jayasuriya and South African Jacques Kallis.
